Which JioHotstar plans have ads?
JioHotstar changed its plans on 28 January 2026. These are the published prices for new subscribers:

Existing subscribers keep their current price while auto-renewal stays on. Prices can change, so check the JioHotstar subscription page for the latest rates.
Why live cricket still has ads
Live sports show ads on every JioHotstar plan, including Premium. If you mainly watch cricket, paying for Premium will not remove the ads during matches.
BingeLift does not cover live sports or other live events on JioHotstar either. Its JioHotstar support is for on-demand shows and films.
How to watch JioHotstar with fewer ads
JioHotstar’s own option is the Premium plan. On a computer, BingeLift is a free Chrome extension that includes JioHotstar:

- Open hotstar.com in Chrome and sign in with your usual account.
- If JioHotstar was already open, refresh the page so BingeLift can start.
- Choose an on-demand show or film and press play.
Your plan still decides what you can watch. BingeLift does not unlock titles or add Hollywood content. The Hotstar ad blocker page lists exactly what BingeLift covers.
What an extension cannot change
- Live sports and live events. Ads during live cricket and other live events stay on every plan.
- The JioHotstar apps. Extensions do not run inside the JioHotstar app on phones, tablets or smart TVs.
- Your plan. BingeLift does not change your subscription, device limit or content library.
